Galerie Karsten Greve is currently hosting a group exhibition titled "Künstlerräume II."
The exhibition brings together eight artists showcasing their distinct formal and substantial qualities. The eight areas that have been created within the gallery space showcase the works of the each artist. The viewers through constant changes in perspective and shifting vistas are able to introspect with intriguing individual positions as well as associative realms in which correspondences and analogies are foregrounded. The spectator embarks on a journey, his perception evolving with every destination, as memories and experiences from the past - if only a few steps behind - influence the immediate impression and make it resonate with sensations of familiarity and strangeness. The artists presented in the exhibition include Georgia Russell, Lawrence Carroll, Claire Morgan, Gideon Rubin, Pierrette Bloch, Matthias Weischer, Norbert Prangenberg and Manish Nai.
Located in the center of the city, close to the Diocesan Museum "Kolumba," the "Museum für Angewandte Kunst – MAK" and the Cologne cathedral, the gallery is characterized by a high diversity of artistic genres represented these belonging to the classic media painting, drawing and graphic arts, sculpture and installation as well as photography. Complementing the shows on a high quality level, bibliophile catalogue editions are released.
The exhibition will be on view through September 2, 2017 at Galerie Karsten Greve, Drususgasse 1-5, 50667 Cologne, Germany.
